Is my poetry bad just because its easy to understand?

Don't sit there pickin' grass all day long,
that would be treating the landscape wrong,
If you pick a little now, you can pick a little then,
But don't pick it all like a big fat hen.

Don't sit there pickin' the grass all night,
That wouldn't be treating the landscape right,
pick your share, pick your due,
in another life that grass will be pickin' you!

Now, now, Adam. Don't feel bad. I'm sure it's bad for other reasons too. ;-)

I did like the sentiment though.

And tell your parents, if they see any bizarre tracks along the deer paths in their back yard, that it was me trying to get unlost in the short cut through the woods up from the cemetary.

I was just wondering about that. I did see some tracks going from the woods down below the house into the graveyard, and they seemed to double back a bit, and they didn't seem to lead to any houses that we would ordinarily see people hiking from.

Beautiful day stepping out into the graveyard this morning, eh?
